Google Photos’ New AI Search Annoying You? Switch Back Instantly
Google Photos recently introduced the new “Ask Photos” AI to improve photo search, but many users found it less helpful for everyday searches. Luckily, Android users can use a simple trick: double-tap the search icon to switch back to the classic search interface.
Despite a February Android update aiming to fix this Gemini-powered search issue, the new “Ask Photos” mode remains the default. iOS users, however, do not have access to the same shortcut and must continue using the AI search mode. Even with some criticism, “Ask Photos” offers a creative way to search your photo library with natural language queries.
